Start in 5 to 10 minutes

Set up your solo business in three simple steps

Instant Work Office is a back office for independent work: clients, proposals, invoices, payments, and daily planning in one workspace. Follow this path to go from a new account to a workspace that is ready for client work.

Setup time: 5 to 10 minutes For U.S. independent workers Best for contractors and solo businesses

Step 1

Create your account

Your account is the home for your business records, client work, documents, and payment workflows. You only need a few details to begin.

What you will need

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Live and work in the United States.
  • Use a valid email address you check often.

Sign-up checklist

  • Create a secure password.
  • Confirm your email address.
  • Review the terms for independent work.

Step 2

Choose your business type

Instant Work Office supports independent contractor workflows now. Single-member LLC support is planned for a later release.

Business type Best for How you get paid Typical profile details
Independent Contractor Freelancers, gig workers, and solo professionals starting out. Paid personally as an individual, often through 1099 work. Legal name, mailing address, and individual tax details.
Single-member LLC Coming soon Solo owners who formed an LLC with their state. Paid to the LLC, usually with a business bank account. LLC legal name, EIN when available, and business address.
